EVERYTHING TO DO WITH RACISM IN UK DURING 1960's
IN 1981 black people had the right to vote in uk but however in america it was 1865 when black people had the right to vote but still was racism around america and uk.
Absence of war and spy stories connotes the uk moving out of the post-war era during the later part of the 60s.
the stories 'police will appease marchers' and 'union postpone strikes' connotes the 60s was a decade of protests , demonstration and the union action.
there appears to be clear gender inequalities in the representation found on the front pages.
in the 1960s women were still largely seen as wives , mothers and any mention of women is almost exclusively reserved for issues such as marriage and fashion.
